Write “every other day”

 

MS or MSO4

 

Write “Morphine Sulfate”

Write “Magnesium sulfate”

 

Trailing zero (4.0 mg)

 

Eliminate the zero after the decimal point

 

Lack of a leading zero (.4 mg)

 

 

Use a zero before the decimal point when the dose is less than a whole unit
